Landon Joseph...
is a Kansas raised Oklahoma transplant. He began his music career professionally as a singer/songwriter at the age of 18 when was hired on staff as a worship pastor at Vintage Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. But this wasn't where his heart for music began.
He picked up his first guitar at the age of 14 and fell in love with it. Since then, his desire to expand his musical world has grown beyond simply playing the guitar. He has learned to play many other instruments including the banjo, kazoo and glockenspiel.
Landon draws much of his inspiration from people's lives as well as personal revelations he receives during his time alone with Jesus. He believes that any song written should in some way point back to the One who inspired it. As a follower of Jesus, Landon's desire for those listening to his music would be that no one is left wondering who the song is about and why it was written, and that they would find themselves pondering the lyrics while also being filled with hope.

With the lights down low and an office space to himself, Landon has time to compose and create.
Landon performed at Serve Coffee and Community on a Friday night.
The thing about being in the public place is that it keeps you accountable; plus, you never know who you'll encounter while you're out and about.
Landon enjoys a cortado and cinnamon bun muffin at Aspen Coffee Company.
Landon pulled out these napkins with song lyrics and deep thoughts on them. I was instantly taken back to the time my wife and I began dream writing on a napkin in Bangkok, Thailand. I told him that all the best ideas start on a napkin, so I knew what Landon was working on was going to be great.
This is what it looks like to "boot-leg" your own music. It's also what it looks like to be an independent artist that has worked collaboratively with other artists and musicians to create your first EP. CD labels, CD covers, and business cards done by Jeff and Rhonda Wade at Edmond Printing Company.
Landon makes several video social media posts to document the process of releasing his first EP.
When it comes to writing and composing, Darla Kaye is his go-to gal for bouncing off ideas. Darla is a singer-songwriter in Edmond, Oklahoma as well.
Abby is not only his sister, but also one of his best friends, wardrobe designer and manager.
For some people, Sundays are a day of rest. When you serve the church as a worship leader, Sunday is a work day. A good work day should begin with coffee. Landon sets up the Sunday brew at Vintage Church.
Checking the song set and making sure the slides are in order for worship service.
Once the coffee is made, the songs are in order, and before anyone shows up, Landon has some devotional time for himself. This is his time to meet with Jesus.
A little warm-up with he full band never hurts prior to the service.
The worship team prays before the service begins.
Soon after service was over, we were ready to head out to Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, OK. Landon opened for both Caleb Gordon and Chris August.

Landon's track "One Page at a Time" was composed on behalf of this couple.
"This is a song written for two of my best friends who recently got married. Their proposal was beyond beautiful. It involved their individual stories becoming one story in a handmade book. Instead of looking at their lives as chapters or skipping to the end to find out what happens, they are choosing, by the grace and care of Jesus, to take their life together one page at a time."
Landon, Chris, and Caleb trio together towards the close of the concert.
